All activities are free of charge to Veterans and their dependents in order to give them a chance to break free from the stress and anxiety caused by PTSD, TBI, marital issues and numerous other life challenges that come with reintegration. By doing so, each Veteran Community member that attends an event has the opportunity to meet, interact, and connect with like minded Veterans. At Cover 6 Outdoors we revere and protect the coveted brotherhood that so many have raised their right hand that is required to be forever inducted. Additionally, we will do everything in our power to guide the Veteran and their families in the proper direction to obtain any resources that they so rightfully have earned and deserve.

Guided Hog Hunts
Guided hog hunts are by far one of our most popular and frequent hunts here at Cover 6 Outdoors. We offer our vets both rifle and bow hunts, other types of hog hunts are considered on a case by case bases. If you have a special request or need certain accommodations for any of our hunts, please let us know and we will try to work with you on making YOUR dream hunt a reality.
Guided Whitetail Deer Hunt
Guided White tail Deer hunts are conducted when available on a "first come-first serve" bases. Through our network of donors we are able to provide meat hunts, along with the occasional "trophy" hunt. Please check with us prior to Deer season so we can get you on a waiting list for Deer hunts.
Guided Dove Hunts
Dove hunts are always a blast with Cover 6 Outdoors! We have donated hunts all over the state during Dove season and typically are able to take out 4-12 hunters on day and overnight hunts.
Guided Quail Hunt
Quail hunts are occasionally available through Cover 6 Outdoors. Please check in with a staff member for available hunts or to be placed on a waiting list.
Guided Duck Hunts
You'll want to jump on the list quick for these! Our donors have graciously offered use of their blinds and land for our vets to bag some true Texas treasures. Not in Texas? That's ok with us! contact our staff to see if we have any out of state hunts available.
Guided Fishing Trips
Our fishing trips are pretty unique in the fact that they are tailored around you and your specific needs. We have the capability to do offshore, inland, and freshwater trips. We offer shore line fishing, pier, and of course boat.
Hiking
Our hikes typically accompany our group camping trips. We also will be scheduling some road marches. Feel free to bring kids, friends, spouses, neighbors with you. Like the old saying goes, the more the merrier. If you enjoy hiking on your own and know of some good parks or trails, message our staff and help us help your fellow veterans.
Canoeing
Like the hikes, our canoe trips ride along side our group camps. We do these based on available resources.
Kayaking
Anyone who has ever kayaked can tell you that is a great way to clear your mind and get some good old fashion relaxation. Whether it is a swift class 6 rapid or a easy stroll down a slow creek. If you'd like a kayak trip scheduled, please email the staff and let us work out the details.
Camping
Starting in 2017 Camping will be added to our list of activities and services that we offer our veterans. We will give more details as they become available. What you can expect is hikes, camaraderie among other our brothers and sisters, and lots of fun group activities.
Shooting Competitions
For those interested, Cover 6 Outdoors will be hosting different types of shooting competitions starting in 2017. Currently we are thinking that it will be Skeet shooting, 3 gun, and a few more to be announced at a later date. Stay tuned!
All shooting events will be conducted with medically trained personnel on site.
* All Veterans and dependents participating in any hunting or fishing will be required to show proper licensing and hunter’s safety course certificates for the state of Texas.
